I am Vyshnavi Narayanan from India, an engineer who specialized in electronics. My world revolved around graphs, formulas, design, and equations. But in the far-flung engineering world, design bestowed into me the main interest.  Even during my early days of schooling,  I realized I was good at creating and designing things. I have always been interested in the field of design. As a part of the school project, we had to make something useful from scrap. Most students used paper as the crafting material, but I chose to use cloth because I wanted to create something different and make something more durable. Its always about being creative for me, even to gift my loved ones for their special days, I prefer to gift things handmade than buying from a store. Doing something different or thinking out of the box is creativity for me. Every aspect of the world I see I wonder, “how simple is this? How aesthetically designed is this? What texture is this? “. I appreciate the decorative aspect of any product, and it excites me. This attention to detail helped me in becoming a creative person and in thinking divergently. The world we are in is the best inspiration to be creative. Everything from cells to the universe has a shape that inspires people to invent new products. There is always a chance for betterment in this world. A product is never just done, and it is a living thing that continually grows and can be improved upon.


I am constantly looking for avenues to grow my creativity and my designing skills. Though my undergraduate study was not related to design, I still wanted to pursue my interests. I am fascinated by the world of opportunities there are today to design products that can improve people’s lives, and I believe that the unparalleled opportunities available will be helpful to broaden my perspective, expand my creative abilities and prepare for an exciting career.
